hahaha, so after i posted a comment on my litto's facebook since he seemed so out of it @ last nite's sectionals meeting, i remember what he said @ one of the AphiO general meetings....

Bleh, so I only have time for a very quick entry since I still haven't done my French II homework... which is like due @ 10:10am..... So I'll just "bullet point" the highlights that have been going on so far...

~ I am now Co-Interchapter chair for my chapter (Alpha Delta Theta a.k.a. ADT) for A-Phi-O and will take on full IC Chair tasks beginning in March when the current other co-chair steps down and becomes pledge parent for the new Alpha Theta pledge class.

~ Did an IC mission for the first time as a Co-IC Chair (not like I haven't been to other chapters before =P)

~ I did horrible on my Stats 130 and Entomology Midterms

~ I think I did okay on my Soc 15 midterm

~ Did decent on my French II midterm

~ Getting a new car soon since the lease on my Honda Accord will expire in March... will miss it badly =P

And what a beginning indeed... I get to start off the new year of skool with a really horrible cough that's still bugging me as we speak... must grab a Ricola...

Anyways, this quarter might end up being a bit harder than Fall. Sure, I was in the process of picking up a lil' bro and my grades actually improved in the Fall, but not without it stress and stuff. But since I'm bungling with 16 units, I might need to be a bit more serious about not putting stuff off until the last minute and making sure I do well cuz I wanna graduate on time or at least reduce the quarters I'll need not to be a "super senior" or wateverz. I guess I'll have to make sure I keep my time managing skills in check and junk....

Well I had every lecture today for all the classes I'm taking this quarter and here are my thoughts on them:

~ Stats 130 (Random Sampling Techniques), MWF from 8.10am to 9am w/ Disc on M at 2.10pm - 3pm: This is by far the smallest class I have ever taken. Including me, only five students are in the class and I feel like a minority... in the sense that the other four ppl are math majors and I being the only Sociology major in there... great... for sure I'm gonna look like an idiot in front of them when it comes to calculations... but i want that stats minor since soc and stats are so connected and it would help me with more opportunities after i graduate... hopefully... Professor Smith seems real nice though and she has quite the midwestern accent =P i will actually need to study for this class...

~ French 2 (Elementary French), MTWF from 10.10am to 11am ~ Okay, so last quarter, I took the placement test that ended up charging me $20 to take. And thinking I had 4 years of French under my belt from high skool, that I hopefully would've bypassed and not take any foreign languages... dude was I wrong... I ended up getting placed into French II.... shit man, all those years pour rien... merde!!!! rofl xD anyways, so it's been awhile and when we had class, the teacher starts speaking in total French and I could barely understand what she was saying T_T ugh, and she made us do oral exercises where we partnered up and did like a quick revision of: Il/Elle s'appelle (name), Il/Elle habite a...., Il/Elle aime faire.... and so forth.... I can read the damn language... but my speaking abilities suck ass =P Not to mention I had to go to the UBE to get the expensive ass textbook since the (useless) bookstore doesn't have it....

~ Entomology 10 (Study of Bugs in the World), MWF from 12.10pm to 1 pm ~ interesting, but nasty class as the subject speaks for itself. luckily, jimi and euree are also taking the class so I have ppl to talk to ^_^ we watched a clip of botflies and locust swarms... and tomorrow in Lab Demo (T from 1.10pm - 2pm) we are apparently going to touch cockroaches... how fun....

~ Soc 15 (Social Problems), MW from 6.40pm to 8pm ~ this is my night class and dude it's soooo dark on campus.... was never really a fan of night classes... but i need one more lower div soc course to finally take upper div courses. class seems straightforward and a lot of my AphiO bros are in it and my friend, Aliya, from Soc 5 last qtr is also taking it and is in the same disc. section as me (M from 5.10pm to 6pm). Lecture was pretty normal, until the prof started to talk about female genitalia mutilation in detail and about how other societies see it as barbaric v. plastic surgery in the western world and how others see it as barbaric. Suddenly the prof looked at one student and asked if she was okay... apparently not as the student fainted and had to be carried out. lots and lots of murmurs of concern went around and the prof had to cut class early. i heard the student eventually got better so all is good.

overall, i foresee a busy quarter and juggling with AphiO...

definitely what happened in Soc 15 earlier will be something I'll remember this quarter so far...

UGH, WHY WON'T MY COUGH GO AWAY!!!! I'M COUGHING LIKE CRAZY HEREZ T_T
